The proforma lands in Workbench
Your supplier emails PI-2291 to the workspace's own inbox address. Workbench reads it, extracts the parties, currency and value, and stages a Proforma Payment for approval. Nobody types a number.
Each Bill of Entry, Shipping Bill, merchant trade and services payment has to be matched to its money, documented to your AD bank and closed in IDPMS or EDPMS before the deadline. FxLayer runs that lifecycle from invoice to closure, so nothing stays open with your bank.
These are the windows the platform enforces. Your AD bank's extensions and your own tolerances are set per workspace.
Your ERP records the invoice. Your bank moves the money. Nobody owns the space between: which bank to route through, whether the customs document has been knocked off, which letter the bank now wants, and what the tax office expects before the payment leaves. FxLayer owns that space.
Scroll to follow an import payment through the platform. Every stage is a real module; every document is generated from the record it belongs to.
Your supplier emails PI-2291 to the workspace's own inbox address. Workbench reads it, extracts the parties, currency and value, and stages a Proforma Payment for approval. Nobody types a number.
On approval, the Form A2 and the advance remittance request are drafted from the record: counterparty, amounts, purpose code, AD bank and your signatory are already in place. Sign with a DSC or the built-in e-signature with public verification.
The FX board compares your AD banks' quoted rates against the interbank mid. You pick the cheapest route; the MT103 goes out and its gpi status is followed until the beneficiary is credited.
When the goods clear customs, the Bill of Entry is matched against the outward remittance: same party, same currency, within your amount and date tolerances, boosted when the bank narration quotes your reference. You confirm; the trail is kept.
The 180-day advance window, the write-off ceiling of 5% or USD 1,000, the compensating-settlement letter — the platform checks each and drafts the closure declaration only when the rule allows it.
The closed entry becomes a reportable transaction in the Import Register, carries its 8-year retention date, and exports to Excel for your auditor with every user action attributed.
